The end of a relationship turns most people's world upside down but, when there are children whose needs must be met and ongoing financial issues, you have to find a way to keep going. The first thing most of us want is information about our legal rights and options . I have been representing clients in the Family Court and providing information and advice since 1993. I commenced practice on my own account in 2002, first in Auckland and for the last 8 years in Christchurch. I understand how painful this time can be and how much people need to have clear and practical support in making decisions and sorting out the difficult consequences of a relationship break up. In my practice and with the assistance of an excellent staff I do my best to provide you with that support in a friendly and helpful environment. I am committed to empowering my clients to make the best decisions they can for themselves and, if their issues require litigation, to acheiving the best outcomes for them. Call me today to find out how I can help you.

I was admitted to the New Zealand High Court as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1992. I have been in practise since 1993. I have been in sole practice since 2002.
I practice exclusively in the area of family law. The Family Court deals with the care of and contact with children, with relationship property disputes and disputes between guardians over decisions concerning their children. These are the areas where my skills and experience lie. In addition I represent parents whose children have come to the attention of the Children and Young Persons Service, assist couples to prepare property agreements to preserve the ownership of their property in the way they wish and am regularly appointed by the Family Court to represent children. I am a member of the New Zealand Law Society and its specialist Family Law Section.
The services I provide fall within 7 main categories:
